Product Description
Petrokem Carpach® is a two component Polyester Putty for instant repair work specially in vehicle bodies. The product adheres to all metal, wood, fiber glass, granite, marble and therefore recommended for vehicle repair industry, furniture industry and also as a filler for various applications. Carpach® can be used to fill cavities and dents to any depth and can be obtained difficult shapes or sharp edges. Once the product is dried it is easy to sand (with sand paper P400-800) and level to obtain original shape. Dries to a tack-free surface. Can be over-coated with 3Dot® 2K Auto Filler or auto paints. Not recommended for underwater applications.
Product Application
- Mix thoroughly thirty volumes of Carpach® base (from tin) and one volume of Carpach® hardener (from tube). Use the mixture within 2-4 minutes. Setting time can be controlled by varying the quantity of hardener, but do not use carpach hardener in excessive quantities
- Apply a thin layer of the mixture on the areas to be treated to ensure better bonding. Allow to dry for 10 minutes. Thereafter any depth can be filled with the mixture.
- After the mixture is fully hardened use a sander or sand paper P400-800 to level and obtain a smooth finish.
Product Coverage
- Approximately 2m2 (20sq.ft) per litre of mixed putty at 0.5 mm thickness.
