Product Application

• Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free of all foreign matter. Roughen metal or smooth glossy surfaces. Do not touch surfaces after cleaning.
• FIXRITE® Epoxy Steel is a two component epoxy adhesive.  Dispense equal volumes of resin and hardener to a mixing tray. Mix thoroughly equal volumes of FIXRITE® Epoxy Steel resin and hardener until a uniform dark grey color is achieved. (If not mixed properly the adhesive will not perform well or will not harden at all.) Mixing can be carried out by using a spatula or similar tool. For large quantities use a suitable mixing device. Use mixture within 2-3 minutes (10°C to 32°C)
• Apply a thin coat of mixed adhesive to both surfaces, join together and hold firmly with clamp, tape or string for 4-8 minutes. Bond strength will be sufficient for handling after 8 minutes but no undue strain should be applied to the bond for 30 minutes. Gains full bond strength in 8 hours.
